29/11/09 - Update on The Lamb Inquiry
Further to my 'Latest News' email in October 2009 where I discussed the background to The Lamb Inquiry on SEN, I had hoped by now to be able to bring you news about the full report being published. If you missed what I said there you can read that update again by clicking on http://www.specialeducationalneeds.co.uk/LatestNews/October2009.html
Unfortunately, it appears that the final report is not going to be available still for a few weeks. However, in the meantime, Brian Lamb has spoken publicly about some of the issues he has faced and provisional conclusions that he has drawn in the Annual Treehouse lecture on 23 November 2009 which you can watch the video of by clicking here: http://www.treehouse.org.uk/promoting-change/events/treehouse-events/film-treehouse-annual-lecture-2009
Brian has also done a live 'questions and answers' on the Talk About Autism website which you can read the full transcript of by clicking here: http://www.treehouse.org.uk/talk-autism/live-chat-brian-lamb
Hope this is of interest. I will let you know when the full report is published.
With good wishes
Douglas
