DOUGLAS SILAS SOLICITORS CELEBRATES ITS 1ST ANNIVERSARY!

I am delighted to tell you that Douglas Silas Solicitors celebrated its 1st anniversary last week having been established on 3 May 2005. It is hard to actually believe that a year has passed by so quickly!

By the end of our first year we had already resolved 31 cases on behalf of our clients out of which we have successfully won or settled 25, partly won 2 (i.e. getting more for our client but not everything they had wanted) and have only lost 4. From these cases, 18 have been SENDIST appeals, 9 have been potential or actual Judicial Reviews, 3 have been statutory appeals in the High Court and 1 has involved SEN issues. We have been inundated with requests to take on new cases and we therefore hope to be expanding in the near future.

We have also received a great deal of praise for our website which can be found at www.dsslaw.co.uk. I was determined to be a ‘different’ kind of solicitor and to offer people as much free information as possible so that they may actually not need to always seek personal legal advice. This belief seems to have struck a chord as, at the last count, our website is already receiving between 2500-3000 unique visits a month!

May I therefore thank client for choosing to instruct us during this past year and allow us to continue to do the work that we are passionate about. As always, I am grateful to you for any recommendations, referrals or compliments.
